Early in the morning our guide will meet at hotel then will introduce you to the main sights of the capital of Kyrgyzstan. You will learn key information about the most famous Bishkek buildings, monuments, streets and squares, parks and main events of the Bishkek life. During this excursion, you are going to gather many amazing impressions about Bishkek. Also, our guide will take you through the endless merchant’s rows of the Osh market, where you can try to eat sweets directly from the counters, try traditional Kyrgyz sour-milk products. Then you will be offered to taste our national cuisine.
After lunch we will go to Ala Archa National park. Ala Archa National Park is one of the famous places in Kyrgyzstan. A trip to the Ala Archa gorge is a great way to get acquainted with the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. After walking in Ala Archa national park we will bring to the hotel.
On the second day we will head from Bishkek to Chon Kemin gorge.
On the way we will visit the medieval Burana tower - a place that is written in every guidebook to Kyrgyzstan! Burana is one of the main ancient buildings in our country, and we will be happy to show you this place. We will visit the territory of the settlement, climb to the top of the tower, visit a small museum with interesting archaeological finds that were made during the researches.
Chon Kemin is a unique natural complex, which extends for several kilometers. The complex is in two and half hours drive from Bishkek. Being a narrow gorge in its east part, it gradually expands, forming a wide valley in the central part and again closing up at the very end. Horse riding is the best option to experience fully the atmosphere of this fascinating place and observe the beauty of forests and rivers.
We will stay there all day. So lunch, dinner and overnight will be in cozy guest house.
After breakfast in the guest house we will continue our trip to Issyk Kul region. On the way we will stop in Cholpon Ata city - one of the big cities of Issyk Kul lake that located on the north shore. In Cholpon Ata we will have an excursion In Ruch Ordo complex of five religions. After excursion we will have lunch there and then continue our way to Karakol. Closer to evening we will come to Karakol, where we will have dinner and stay in cozy guest house.
After breakfast we will leave our guest house and we will walk around Karakol city, which is very interesting with his main attractions like Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Dungan Mosque. Then we will head to Jyrgalan valley, we will arrive to Jyrgalan to the lunch, after lunch we will walk to the Kok Bel waterfall, then we will come back to the guest house, where will have a hot dinner and cozy rooms.
On the way we will visit Djety Oguz gorge, famous for its red rocks. This is an amazing place! The slopes of the mountains are covered with coniferous forest, the dirty road leaves to the high-mountain meadows, and somewhere in the depths of the gorge is hidden small but beautiful waterfall. Djety Oguz can be explored on foot, by car or by riding horses in a small village very close to (horses are given for an extra fee).
After walking in Djety Oguz gorge we will go to Fairy Tale canyon. This beautiful place differs very much from all other landscapes of Issyk Kul.
We will back to the yurt camp to dinner, in cozy yurt we will have traditional dish in traditional atmosphere. Overnight will be in yurt.
After breakfast we will continue our excursion to the Barskaun gorge, famous for its waterfalls called «Tears of snowleopard», «Cup of Manas», which is very easy to get.
The trip to the waterfalls will take several hours. After walking we will head to Bishkek, on the way we will have lunch in Balykchy city and will arrive to Bishkek by the evening.
In the yurt camp on the shore of Issyk Kul you can see a demonstration of hunting with eagles (surcharge – 5000 soms from the group).
In the gorge Djety Oguz you can also rent horses for horseback riding, surcharge 500 soms per hour for one horse.
You can take all necessary things. Please take into consideration that in summer time the temperature in Bishkek city reaches up to 40 °C and in the mountains the temperature decreases to 10 °C. Be prepared for unexpected changes of the weather.
Recommended: rain-coat, sweater/fleece, wind-stopper, enough t-shirts and other underwear (think of taking smth with long sleeves to avoid sunburns), hat (remember – the sun can be violent), sun-screen cream (30 or higher), insect repellent (skin + clothes), good trekking boots for easy hikes in the mountains, walking shoes (don’t need heavy ones) for the city walks, flash light (torch).
Personal first aid kit (most likely problems: blisters, sunburns, allergy, diarrhoea, sore muscles after hikes. Take painkillers, anti-histaminic, antibiotics of general action, and anything you need for your usual medical conditions), personal hygiene kit (disinfection gel is highly recommended) + some toilet paper.
A small towel, swimming suit (for Issyk-Kul), sunglasses, photo camera, notepad and a pen to make notes as you travel, a smaller backpack, except for your normal suitcase.
