In the early morning, our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to the main sights of Bishkek. You will learn key information about the most famous city buildings, monuments, streets and squares, parks and the main events of the Bishkek life. We are sure that this excursion will leave you with a lot of positive impressions of the city. Also, our guide will take you through the endless merchant’s rows of the Osh market, where you can try sweets directly from the counters, try traditional Kyrgyz sour-milk products. Then you will be offered to taste our national cuisine.
After lunch, we will go to Ala Archa National park. Ala Archa National Park is one of the famous places in Kyrgyzstan. A trip to the Ala Archa gorge is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the beautiful mountains of Kyrgyzstan without traveling far from the city. After walking in Ala Archa national park, we will bring you to the hotel.
No later than 10:00 in the morning we will go to the famous Son-Kul Lake - a special place for local residents. On our way, we will visit a unique architectural monument in the territory of Kyrgyzstan - the Burana tower. Burana is one of the main ancient buildings in our country that is very interesting to see. You will have an opportunity to visit the entire territory of the settlement, climb to the top of the tower, visit a small museum with interesting archaeological finds that were made during the researches.
After the tour to Burana, we will continue our way and through the Boom gorge. It is going to be an interesting trip to other regions of the country - first to Issyk Kul, and then to the Naryn region. Our next stop will be in the village of Kochkor. Here we will stay for lunch and visit a small museum. We will arrive at the shores of Son-Kul in the late afternoon. We will stay in yurts, taste delicious national dishes and have a rest after a long road.
Having breakfast in the yurt, we will drive to the biggest Kyrgyzstan’s Lake - Issyk Kul. On our way, you will be able to see incredibly beautiful views. We will stop near the village of Kadji-Sai, in the yurt camp on the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. After lunch in a yurt, we will have a walk in the Fairy Tale canyon, where you can take lots of cool photos. There is another gorge called Barskaun not far from the Fairy Tale canyon. We will visit an easily accessible waterfall called “Tears of snow-leopard” there. After a walk along Barskaun gorge, we will return to the yurt camp, have dinner and enjoy the tranquility that reigns on the shore of Issyk Kul.
After breakfast, we will have free time for walking on the shore of Issyk Kul Lake. We will have lunch in Balykchy city. We will arrive in the city in the late afternoon, taking you to your hotel with a lot of vivid impressions and good memories of Kyrgyzstan!
In the yurt camp on the shore of Issyk Kul you can see a demonstration of hunting with eagles (surcharge – 5000 soms from the group).
At Son-Kul you can also rent horses for horseback riding, surcharge 500 soms per hour for one horse.
You can take all necessary things. Please take into consideration that in summer time the temperature in Bishkek city reaches up to 40 °C and in the mountains the temperature decreases to 10 °C. Be prepared for unexpected changes of the weather.
Recommended: rain-coat, sweater/fleece, wind-stopper, enough t-shirts and other underwear (think of taking smth with long sleeves to avoid sunburns), hat (remember – the sun can be violent), sun-screen cream (30 or higher), insect repellent (skin + clothes), good trekking boots for easy hikes in the mountains, walking shoes (don’t need heavy ones) for the city walks, flash light (torch).
Personal first aid kit (most likely problems: blisters, sunburns, allergy, diarrhoea, sore muscles after hikes. Take painkillers, anti-histaminic, antibiotics of general action, and anything you need for your usual medical conditions), personal hygiene kit (disinfection gel is highly recommended) + some toilet paper.
A small towel, swimming suit (for Issyk-Kul), sunglasses, photo camera, notepad and a pen to make notes as you travel, a smaller backpack, except for your normal suitcase.
