On the first day we will have a great opportunity to escape from the urban bustle and spend a day among the beautiful mountains of the Kyrgyz ridge. In the morning we meet you at the hotel and take a route to Chon Kemin gorge. On the way we will visit ancient Burana tower.
In Burana complex - we will visit the tower, which dates back to the X-XI centuries. Burana is one of the oldest structures on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The height of the tower is more than 20 meters, and it has a beautiful view from the top! We will explore all the most interesting objects on the territory of the historical complex and then continue our journey to Issyk Kul.
Chon Kemin is a unique natural complex, which extends for several kilometers. The complex is in two and half hours drive from Bishkek. Being a narrow gorge in its east part, it gradually expands, forming a wide valley in the central part and again closing up at the very end. Horse riding is the best option to experience fully the atmosphere of this fascinating place and observe the beauty of forests and rivers. After horse riding we will have a dinner, overnight will be in a guest house.
After breakfast we will have an opportunity to stay there more till the noon in this fascinating place. Then we will have lunch there and will head to Bishkek.
Rent of a horse for additional riding time
You can take all necessary things. Please take into consideration that in summer time the temperature in Bishkek city reaches up to 40 oC and in the mountains the temperature decreases to 10 oC. Be prepared for unexpected changes of the weather.
Recommended: rain-coat, sweater/fleece, wind-stopper, enough t-shirts and other underwear (think of taking smth with long sleeves to avoid sunburns), hat (remember – the sun can be violent), sun-screen cream (30 or higher), insect repellent (skin + clothes), good trekking boots for easy hikes in the mountains, walking shoes (don’t need heavy ones) for the city walks, flash light (torch).
Personal first aid kit (most likely problems: blisters, sunburns, allergy, diarrhoea, sore muscles after hikes. Take painkillers, anti-histaminic, antibiotics of general action, and anything you need for your usual medical conditions), personal hygiene kit (disinfection gel is highly recommended) + some toilet paper.
