In the morning, probably no later than 8:00 am, we will leave Bishkek and go to the south shore of Issyk-Kul. Our first destination is a yurt camp near the Ton village - beautiful, modern and very cozy yurts. But, despite all its modernity, this camp has preserved the real nomadic authenticity, which attracts a lot of people from all over the world.
On the way to the yurt camp, we will visit the Burana ancient settlement - all remains of the great medieval Balasagun city. One of the most important sights of this place is the ancient Burana tower, which dates back to 10th-11th centuries. We will conduct for you an interesting tour in the area of settlement and reach the top of Burana - from where breathtaking view will be opened. By the way, this place is included to the list of UNESCO World Heritage!
After exploring the Burana complex, we will continue our journey to Issyk-Kul. We will arrive to the yurt camp by noon, and by this time we will have very nice lunch in the yurt. It is worth mentioning immediately that we will dine and spend the night in different yurts - one is used only as a dining room, while the second is a full-size sleeping yurt.
After dinner, we will spend a little time in the camp, and then go for a walk to Fairytale canyon. This beautiful place is half an hour's drive from the camp and very differs from all other landscapes of Issyk-Kul. Here you will see a beautiful sandstones of a wide variety of shapes and colors! We will guide you through the canyon, help you to take photos, and have a hot tea, enjoying beautiful view.
We'll be back to the yurts by the evening. The hosts of the camp will cook dinner for us, and while they are busy with preparations, we can walk along the lake shore, enjoying sunset in mountains.
We will spend this night like real nomads! And in our yurt there will be both electricity, and Internet!
After breakfast we will continue our excursion to the Barskaun gorge, famous for its waterfalls. The road to Barskaun runs along the coastline, through desert beaches and small villages on the shore of the lake - you will for sure like this view!
The trip to the waterfalls will take several hours and by lunch we will return to the yurt camp. After meal, we will go back to Bishkek and will arrive by the evening. After the tour, we will drop you back to the hotel or directly to Manas airport ( without an extra charge ).
In the evening of the first day we can organize a demonstration of eagle hunting show for additional fee (5000 soms).
Also in the evening of the first day we can organize folklore show for additional fee (5000 soms).
