Our journey will begin in the morning when we meet you at your hotel. At the beginning of the trip we will visit the architectural and archaeological monument - the Burana Tower. This is a unique place, testifying to the existence of the ancient city of Balasaguni, which was a key link of the Great Silk Road. After a walk through the complex, we will continue our journey to Chon-Kemin - a small village located in a mountain valley. We will arrive in Chon-Kemin in the afternoon, where a hot lunch will be waiting for us. After lunch, we go to explore the area on horseback. This is a great opportunity to enjoy nature and its authenticity. After the walk, we will have dinner with national dishes. Overnight in guest house in this beautiful place!
After breakfast, we will drive along the northern shore of the country's largest lake - Issyk-Kul. On the way to our final destination, we will visit the open-air museum located on the shore of the lake, and we will also visit the historical monument that has existed since the days of the expeditions of Genghis Khan. Later in the evening we will arrive at our guest house in the stunning mountain gorge –Jergalan, which delights with its untouched nature. By our arrival, we will have a hot dinner and cozy rooms.
After breakfast we will have a fascinating ride on horses across the expanses of the Jergalan valley. At our disposal will be all day, filled with the extraordinary atmosphere of authenticity of this place. After the day riding we will return to our guest house closer to dinner.
In the morning, we will be met by our good friend, who is perfectly oriented in Karakol area and will be very happy to show us one of the mountain routes in the stunning Altyn-Arashan gorge. With its unique beauty, this gorge has won many hearts that visited it! After the walk we will stay in the guest house, which is located in this stunning gorge!
Today we will move to no less beautiful place - Jety-Oguz gorge, famous for its red rocks. There are many legends that tell about the origin of these rocks, and we will gladly tell you each of them! Then we will meet the local people of the village, which is located at the foot of these rocks. In the village we will ride horses and go to explore the gorge. After the walk we will have dinner in the guest house, in which we will stay overnight!
After breakfast, we will drive along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul, dedicating this day to the lake and gorges, which are located on the southern side of the lake. Our first stop will be the gorge Barskaun, popular for its waterfalls! In Soviet times, all astronauts and sportsmen preferred to relax in this gorge. Then we will stop at the Fairy Tale canyons, that impress with many bizarre figures that create the atmosphere of a fairy tale around visitors. After lunch, we will arrive at the yurt camp, where we will stay overnight. Here we will be able to spend time on the beach and swim in a high mountain lake!
Having a good breakfast, we will go to the second largest lake - Son-Kul. The path to the lake passes through the beautiful mountain gorges and passes, and the path to the lake itself will not leave anyone indifferent! After lunch, we will arrive at Son-Kul, where you will truly feel solitude and intimacy with nature. Here, at an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level, there is no cellular connection and the Internet, but there are unique sunsets, vast expanses, and mountains that surround this whole valley. Here we will get acquainted with the real modern nomads, and we will be able to learn about their life at a hot dinner. For the night we will stay in the national Kyrgyz felt dwelling - yurt.
On this day we will go to one of the oldest historical monuments of our country, Tash-Rabat. It is believed today, that this complex used to be a guest house, in which travelers stayed in the 15th century. Today the complex has its original appearance and is of great interest among travelers. On the way to Tash-Rabat we will also visit a small village, where we will visit the local needlework museum and have lunch, after which we will continue our journey. In the evening we will have a tour of the Tash-Rabat complex and dinner at the guest house, where we will stay overnight.
After breakfast, we will return to Bishkek through the mountain passes, which also surprise with their contrast and beauty. After lunch, we will take you to your hotel / airport in a good mood and warm memories of our mountainous country!
In the Yurt camp on the shore of Issyk-Kul you can see a folklore show (surcharge – 5000 soms from the group) and a demonstration of hunting with eagles (surcharge – 5000 soms from the group).
You can take all necessary things. Please take into consideration that in summer time the temperature in Bishkek city reaches up to 40 oC and in the mountains the temperature decreases to 10 oC. Be prepared for unexpected changes of the weather.
Recommended: rain-coat, sweater/fleece, wind-stopper, enough t-shirts and other underwear (think of taking smth with long sleeves to avoid sunburns), hat (remember – the sun can be violent), sun-screen cream (30 or higher), insect repellent (skin + clothes), good trekking boots for easy hikes in the mountains, walking shoes (don’t need heavy ones) for the city walks, flash light (torch).
Personal first aid kit (most likely problems: blisters, sunburns, allergy, diarrhoea, sore muscles after hikes. Take painkillers, anti-histaminic, antibiotics of general action, and anything you need for your usual medical conditions), personal hygiene kit (disinfection gel is highly recommended) + some toilet paper.
A small towel, swimming suit (for Issyk-Kul), sunglasses, photo camera, notepad and a pen to make notes as you travel, a smaller backpack, except for your normal suitcase.
