Journey around Issyk Kul from south to north part

Another option for the spend the wonderful weekends in Kyrgyzstan - beautiful mountains, nice yurt camp and hot springs!

Tour program
3 days
Bishkek, Issyk-Kul lake, Fairytale canyon, Djety-Oguz, Altyn-Arashan, Cholpon-Ata

On the first day of our trip we will travel from Bishkek to Karakol, on the way visit Burana, a yurt camp on the south shore of Issyk-Kul, Fairy Tale canyon and Djety-Oguz gorge.

Our first big stop will be at the Burana complex- we will visit the tower, which dates back to the X-XI centuries. Burana is one of the oldest structures on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The height of the tower is more than 20 meters, and it has a beautiful view from the top! We will explore all the most interesting objects on the territory of the historical complex and then continue our journey to Issyk-Kul.

Closer to noon, we will arrive to the yurt camp, located very near to the lake, where we will have a lunch. After meal, we will go to the Fairy Tale canyon. This beautiful place is half an hour drive from the camp and differs very much from all other landscapes of Issyk-Kul.

After walking on the Fairy Tale and enjoying hot tea, we will go to the Djety-Oguz gorge, famous for its red rocks. This is an amazing place! The slopes of the mountains are covered with coniferous forest, the dirty road leaves to the high-mountain meadows, and somewhere in the depths of the gorge is hidden small but beautiful waterfall. Djety-Oguz can be explored on foot, by car or by riding horses in a small village very close to (horses are given for an extra fee - 500 som / hour).

Later this evening we arrive to Karakol, we will stay in a guest house created by a Kyrgyz-Dutch family and go for a dinner.

On the second day of the tour we will go to the Altyn-Arashan gorge, famous for its beautiful landscapes and hot springs. The road to the gorge is quite complicated and you can get there only on off-road vehicles (including the Soviet ones), so this trip is a real adventure!

A trip to Altyn-Arashan will take almost the whole day. You will see the beautiful nature of Tien Shan, visit the hot springs, have lunch in a guest house in the mountains. Later in the evening we will return to Karakol, have dinner and go to rest.

After breakfast, we say leave our friendly hosts of the guest house and return to Bishkek. Visiting the main attractions of Karakol, we will leave the city by North shore of Issyk-Kul lake. In Cholpon-Ata, we will visit the interesting cultural complex Ruh Ordo, known with the Museum of Five Religions. After exploring the museum, we will go for a lunch and then continue our trip.

We will arrive to Bishkek by the evening. After the tour, we can drop you to the hotel or directly to Manas airport (no extra charge).
