We added hiking to a beautiful mountain lake to this itinerary around Issyk-Kul and as a result we got the great adventure!

Tour program
7 days
Bishkek, Ala-Archa gorge, Issyk Kul lake, Karakol, Alakul lake

After meeting at your hotel, we will first of all introduce you to the capital of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek. We will do a walking tour with visits to the main attractions and museums. We will tell you the history of our city, as well as interesting personalities who have made a great contribution to the development of our country.

After exploring the city we will go to the National Park Ala-Archa, which is located 40 km from the city. We will walk in the park along the river, or climb a panorama, from where you can see the whole gorge! We will tell you about the different animals that live in this area, as well as why this park is one of the most favorite places for climbers.

After the walk we will return to the city, have dinner and take you to your hotel.

In the morning we will pick you up from the hotel and go on our trip around Issyk - Kul lake. On the way, we will visit one of the oldest buildings in our country - the Burana tower. The tower testifies to the existence of the city of Balasaguni in the 9th to 14th centuries. We will tell you about the history of this settlement, as well as visit a small museum of archaeological finds and a museum of stones found in the mountains of Tien Shan. Climbing to the top of the tower, offering a beautiful view of the Chuy Valley, we will tell you about the legends of this tower.

Having walked around the complex, we will continue to Issyk - Kul. In the afternoon we will arrive at the yurt camp on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul, where we will have lunch with national Kyrgyz dishes and stay in comfortable yurts. After a short rest, we will drive along the southern shore of the lake to the Fairytale Canyons, where we will walk among the bizarre sandy figures. For dinner, we will return to our yurt camp.

After breakfast we will continue our journey, and first of all we will visit the Tamga gorge. In the heart of the gorge there are stones on which Buddhist prayers dating from the 8th – 9th centuries are carved. Then we will go to the gorge Barskaun, known for its waterfalls, as well as the fact that in Soviet times the first cosmonauts liked to relax here! Strolling around the area, we will go to another equally beautiful gorge - Jety-Oguz, known for its red rocks, similar to the huge bulls.

The end point on this day is the city of Karakol, in which we will come for dinner. After dinner we will stay in a cozy guest house.

In the morning we will go deep into the Karakol gorge, to the starting point of the hiking itinerary. The hiking will starts from a height of 2300 meters above sea level, and at the end of the day you will stop for the night in the “Sirota Camp” located at an altitude of 2900 meters.
